A Bill Ogden design from around 1970 with many cosmic influences brought together by the psychedelic movement of the late sixties and early seventies. Ogden was always a favorite artist of many especially around Laguna Beach California with his incredible Sound Spectrum posters that people would treasure. Johnny Gayle and Mike Hynson were the creators behind Rainbow Surfboards. This logo has many detailed secrets that John Frazier explains in the video below. Everything from the third eye approach to meditation and surfing, to the ship that sailed from mainland Mexico to the island of Maui, which may or may have not started a certain growing culture in Maui. This is one of our all-time favorite logos that truly represents the spiritual connection with surfing and mother ocean.
