Here at Forward Screen Printing we like to get creative with our printing capabilities. We currently offer a service that works great in the board short making process.  We are able to print on fabric panels using water based inks, that will, after printing, go to a cut and sew company to be assembled into your custom board shorts. We can refer you to a good cut and sew facility that can take your printed fabric panels from us, and manufacture them into a finished pair of board shorts.  Our maximum print size is 17" by 22", which is a good size for printing large fabric panels that can be sewn into wearable garments. A cotton twill fabric, or any fabric mostly made of cotton is the preferred material for us to print on, but other fabric blends are also possible to print on.  We ask that you supply the pre-cut fabric panels to us for the printing. 

Another option for board short printing would be to source a finished pair of shorts that meet your requirements, and print onto those like any other screen printed garment.  The print areas and capabilities would be more limited when the shorts are already sewn together as a finished pair, but this process is less work and less time consuming than having board shorts cut and sewed custom for you, from start to finish.  As surfers here at Forward, we recommend checking out Birdwell Beach Britches for quality, time tested, board shorts that may work for your printing needs.
